In "Shadow of Fear," Marshal Steve Donovan and his Deputy Rusty Lee ride into the isolated town of Daly City, where the recent murder of Marshal Hal Grant has left the community paralyzed by dread. There, they confront a shadowy threat led by the ruthless Ma Faulkner, her two sons, and a gang of outlaws under the command of a cunning man named Mapes.

In "The Green Star," Steve Donovan and Rusty Lee take on a dangerous mission to catch a gang preying on frontier post offices, but their task is complicated by the arrival of Jim Allison, a rookie marshal eager to prove himself—his determination, however, threatens to unravel their teamwork before the trail even cools.
