The issue was produced in 1955 by Dell Publishing Co. under its long-running Four Color umbrella, with art and cover pencils and inks attributed by Disney comics scholar Alberto Becattini's index to Al Hubbard, a veteran Dell/Western Publishing artist who handled much of the studio's Disney funny-animal output during the 1950s. The script credits, also sourced through Becattini's research, are attributed to Del Connell, a Disney story man who contributed to numerous Dell Disney tie-ins of the era. The indicia code L.&T.O.S. #629-555 identifies it as a one-shot within the Four Color system, consistent with Dell's practice of designating each issue by character rather than by series title.
