When Sgt. Preston is caught in a snowslide, Yukon King brings help from the nearest cabin. An outlaw named Buck Croyden brings Preston back to his cabin and takes care of him until he recovers two days later. Preston leaves, not knowing the true identity of his rescuer. Later Preston is sent to search for Croyden, who has murdered at least two men, and is part of a gang that has stolen a fortune in gold bullion.
