“Forgotten Grubstake”

In "Forgotten Grubstake," Sgt. Preston awakens after a snowslide to find himself cared for by a mysterious stranger at a remote cabin—only to later learn that his rescuer, Buck Croyden, is a wanted outlaw tied to a gold heist and a string of murders. Written by Gaylord Du Bois and illustrated by Alberto Giolitti, this 1952 Four Color adventure blends frontier suspense with a twist of moral ambiguity. The cover, by Morris Gollub, captures the stark isolation of the Yukon landscape.
