Carl Buettner's cover art captures the little elephant's irresistible charm with warm, expressive linework that feels right at home in the golden age of Disney comics. Inside, writer-artist Tony Strobl takes the reins for "Masquerade Party," making this a delightful package for any fan of classic all-ages storytelling.

Two elephant boys trick Dumbo into believing he has broken a chunk out of the moon. He flies through space to repair it, but is hooked by Wynken, Blynken, and Nod in their flying shoe. The trio guide him to a sky castle which is the home of a magic giant. They say he can give Dumbo enough green cheese to repair the moon. The giant keeps Dumbo in a birdcage until a mosquito helps him escape and return to Earth.
