In the dusty frontier town of Rock River, New Mexico, former comrade Bill Longley returns to reunite with old war friends turned prospectors—only to find the town ruled by the iron fist of John Flood, who demands protection fees from the miners. As Longley settles in, he begins to uncover the uneasy tension beneath the surface, where loyalty and justice are tested in the shadow of a man who controls the land with fear.

In "Stage to Paradise," Bill Longley rides into Fenton, Oklahoma, with outlaw Clint Dirkson in tow—only to find the sheriff dead and the townsfolk too afraid to help. With Dirkson’s gang closing in, Longley and two volunteers must take the outlaw by stagecoach across 80 miles of dangerous frontier to the nearest marshal in Paradise.
