Flash #214
A masked Flash in his red costume grips a sheet of paper with an expression of grim intensity, while behind him looms the suited, golden-toned figure of Zatara or a similar imposing man clutching a glowing ring — and a shadowy, restrained figure wearing the Flash emblem haunts the background. Geoff Johns, Howard Porter, and Livesay bring a mood of unsettling revelation to this 2004 arc opener, with Ethan Van Sciver's cover art framing the tension beautifully. Whatever secret lies buried with Barry Allen, this first chapter promises it will shake Wally West to his core.
