“Blitz: Conclusion: The Final Race”

In "Blitz: Conclusion: The Final Race," Geoff Johns and Scott Kolins deliver a pivotal chapter in Wally West’s journey as the Flash, where the speedster confronts Zoom in a battle that transcends time itself. As Zoom forces Wally to relive painful memories, the truth begins to unravel—Jay Garrick’s theory that Zoom is manipulating time, not the Speed Force, becomes key to the final showdown. With the help of his fellow speedsters, Wally taps into the Speed Force in a way never seen before, trapping Zoom in a moment from the past. In the aftermath, two old friends appear, and Wally’s past is erased—leaving only the echo of what it meant to be the Flash.

As Zoom tries to teach Flash about loss, he also open visions of significant moments of the past, including one which upsets him so much he flees. While Wally has a moment, he confers with the other speedsters, and Jay theorizes that Zoom has not tapped into the speed force, but into time itself. Taking the speed force from all the other speedsters, Wally is able to meet Zoom on his level, and traps him in one of Zoom's windows on the past. Finally, as Wally takes stock of the recent events of his life, he is visited by two old friends, and all knowledge of his dual identity is wiped away.
