Flash #198
Part two of the "Blitz" arc brings the terror of Zoom front and center, as the cover — penciled and inked by Scott Kolins — depicts a desperate Flash shielding an injured civilian woman while a storm of speed-force lightning, debris, and a barrage of yellow-gloved fists closes in from every direction. The raw urgency on Wally's face says everything about what he's up against. Geoff Johns, Kolins, and Doug Hazlewood were clearly firing on all cylinders in 2003, and this issue looks like one of the Scarlet Speedster's most punishing tests.
