Firestorm: The Nuclear Man #25

Jul 2006 · DC · 2.99 USD; 4.00 CAD
“Hot and Cold”

In "Hot and Cold," Firestorm finds himself caught in a dangerous game between Mr. Freeze and Killer Frost, as the former attempts to use the nuclear hero to expose the latter to the sun’s intense heat. With powers flickering under the solar strain, Firestorm must rely on Professor Stein’s guidance from the matrix while grappling with the unexpected consequences of their plan. Written by Stuart Moore and brought to life by Jamal Igle’s dynamic art, with Keith Champagne’s inks, David Baron’s colors, and Travis Lanham’s crisp lettering, this 2006 issue delivers a high-stakes, heat-driven showdown. The cover by Brian Stelfreeze captures the tension with a striking, sun-drenched image.

Mr. Freeze uses Firestorm to help get Killer Frost to the sun, where she proceeds to absorb the sun's heat. Being near the sun causes Firestorm's powers to go slightly haywire, but allows Professor Stein to access the matrix to give Jason advise. Firestorm defeats Killer Frost and returns to Earth where Batman has already defeated Mr. Freeze.
