Firestorm: The Nuclear Man #23
In "A Hawk in the Nest," one year after Infinite Crisis, Firestorm—now a fusion of Jason and Lorraine Reilly—races to contain a catastrophic nuclear test gone wrong at Lexcorp. With Martin Stein still missing and their connection dangerously fragile, Jason and Lorraine must stay within a mile of each other, a bond tested when they’re ambushed and forced into a desperate fight for survival. Written by Stuart Moore and illustrated by Jamal Igle, with inks by Keith Champagne, colors by David Baron, and letters by Travis Lanham, this issue finds Firestorm at a breaking point—both physically and emotionally. The cover by Brian Stelfreeze captures the tension with a striking, shadowed image of the duo in peril.
