“The Serpent”

In "The Serpent," Sin uncovers a mystical hammer at her father’s old base, awakening the spirit of Skadi and plunging her into a journey to the ocean floor, where she encounters the enigmatic Serpent—calling himself the All-Father. Meanwhile, Earth’s heroes gather for a press conference announcing the rebuilding of Asgard, a move that ignites fury in Odin, who forces Thor to choose between his people and humanity. With the prophecy stirring and Asgard’s remnants retreating through the rainbow bridge, Thor’s defiance leads to a brutal confrontation with his father. Written by Matt Fraction and illustrated with striking intensity by Stuart Immonen, with colors by Laura Martin and letters by Chris Eliopoulos, the cover by Steve McNiven and Mark Morales captures the mythic weight of the moment.
