Fantastic Four Epic Collection #6
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis Epic Collection volume reprints the entirety of the Heroes Reborn era for the Fantastic Four, originally published in 1996-1997. It collects the twelve-issue series written by Jim Lee and Brandon Choi, with art by Lee and Brett Booth, presenting a modernized, continuity-light take on the team's origin and early adventures set in a pocket universe. The volume also includes the Heroes Reborn: Fantastic Four one-shot and related bonus material from that period.
In the epic tale "A House There Was!", the Fantastic Four face their most audacious threat yet as Magneto, now commanding the Atlantean army, lays siege to New York City. With Sue Storm and Lady Dorma held hostage, the heroes must outwit the master of magnetism using a daring device crafted by Mr. Fantastic—only to see the tide turn in a way no one expected. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life by John Romita’s dynamic art and John Verpoorten’s precise inks, this story marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing clash between surface and undersea worlds. The cover, a striking collaboration by Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott, captures the tension of a city on the brink.

At the helm of the Atlantean army, Magneto finally conquers New York City. Holding Sue and Lady Dorma as hostages, Magneto tries to force Namor and the Fantastic Four into swearing an oath of allegiance to him. Instead, the heroes counter with a weapon built by Mr. Fantastic that is able to turn Magneto's own powers against him. Prince Namor and his army return home, and there is once again an uneasy truce between Atlantis and the surface world.
