William McLaughlin finds the ruins of the Followers of the Light Sanctuary and a giant robot that was under construction. He finishes building it and then tracks down the other three Sanctuary robots and destroys them in their respective hiding places. He then robs to acquire gold and money he hopes will grant him a rich retirement. The pilots of the destroyed robots (Ilongo, Richard and Genji) ask the FF for help. They confront the giant robot in Tokyo and knock it out of commission. William presses the self destruct button and blows the robot up, just as he's captured by the three pilots.
