On a rainy day in Shanghai Scorchy has his pocket picked, but the thief spots a policeman and drops it to the ground. By a circuitous route it is replaced in Scorchy's back pocket without his knowledge. Later, the "Flying Reporter" Toni Lovell persuades him to take her up for her flying lesson. She heads for a particular spot and Scorchy has to belly-flop the plane in the dense jungle.
