"Oaky Doaks" is a comedic tale in which Princess Mercedes refuses to marry Oaky unless he rids her of a troublesome horse named Nellie, leading to Oaky's failed attempts and ultimately his decision to send the horse back to the farm. Additional strips include "Butty and Fatty," featuring a child chasing away a cat with a fishing pole, and other humorous comic features advertised on the cover such as "Skyroads and Scorchy Smith" and "Mickey Finn" and "Seaweed Sam."
