Exclusive Collectors' Edition: Spider-Man #[nn]
In this 1980 Exclusive Collectors' Edition, Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson navigate a seemingly ordinary shopping trip—until Peter’s Spidey-Sense flares, prompting a hasty exit that leaves Mary Jane bewildered. Outside, Spider-Man’s mistaken web-slinging attack on Spider-Woman sets off a chain of events that catches the attention of Crusher Creel, the Absorbing Man, who’s plotting his next move with a mix of frustration and ambition. Written by David Anthony Kraft and Ed Hannigan, with dynamic art by Alan Kupperberg and Al Milgrom, and a striking cover by John Romita, this issue captures a pivotal moment in the early '80s Spider-Mythos with a mix of humor, tension, and that unmistakable Marvel energy.

Peter and Mary Jane are shopping for a new pair of boots. Mary Jane is indecisive but, after an hour of indecision, tries on a pair of Dingo-Western boots. Peter's Spidey-Sense tingles and he makes up an excuse to leave. Mary Jane is unimpressed. Outside, as Spider-Man, Peter sees Spider-Woman. Thinking that she is the menace he fires his web. She berates him for ruining her surveillance. Crusher Creel witnesses this exchange. He then muses on his misfortunes and expresses a desire to relocate to South America... after he has defeated the two heroes.
