The Archies are having a rough day in the music biz — as a TV news report touts rival acts "Mindy Looper" and "Michael Jackstone" hitting gold and platinum, the gang ruefully notes their own album "just went lead." Dan DeCarlo's cover captures the whole deflated crew on stage — a glamorous dark-haired woman, Archie slumped in dejection, a drummer, and a blonde guitarist — surrounded by their instruments and that wonderfully deadpan punchline. It's a warm slice of mid-1980s Riverdale humor that promises plenty of laughs inside with "Rock 'n' Rassle.
