Archie Americana Series #11
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis volume continues the Archie Americana Series' nostalgic look back at the 1980s, collecting a selection of classic Archie stories from that decade. Featuring the familiar antics of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and the rest of the Riverdale gang, this book captures the humor and cultural flavor of the era through tales involving school, friendships, and the usual romantic hijinks.
In "Health Nuts," Archie goes all-in on the punk look to impress Tina, a girl who claims she’ll only date someone with a mohawk—leading him to don a fake one to school. Reggie, determined not to be left behind, gets a real mohawk, but Tina’s sudden move means she never sees it. Written by Nate Butler and illustrated by Dan DeCarlo Jr. with inks by Jim DeCarlo, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Bill Yoshida, this 2010 issue features a cover by Rex Lindsey.
