Essential X-Men #3
In "SFX," the X-Men take a rare public turn when they give the Mayor of San Francisco a tour of their new headquarters, only to find themselves in the middle of a high-stakes exhibition of Sentinels orchestrated by Guy DeMondue. With Magneto suddenly reemerging and activating the very machines meant to destroy mutants, the team must unravel a mystery that ties the High Evolutionary, a mysterious starship, and a deadly secret behind the Sentinels’ behavior. Written by Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction, with dynamic art by Greg Land and Terry Dodson, and a striking cover by Alex Ross, this issue blends sci-fi spectacle with the X-Men’s enduring struggle for survival and identity.
