Bone captures the moment of tension with striking detail.

When Elasti-Girl agrees to marry Mento, Cliff and Larry come up with a scheme to stop the wedding, and Rita calls off the wedding. Blaming Cliff and Larry, Mento challenges them, and during the fight Rita is inadvertently blinded. The Chief restores her sight, and the Doom Patrol goes after Mento. However, when the Brotherhood of Evil strikes, it is revealed that it was Madame Rouge masquerading as Mento who attacked originally and blinded Rita. Rita begs Steve for his forgiveness and agrees to marry him. They marry later that day with the Doom Patrol and other super-heroes in attendance.
