Part 1," the Doom Patrol faces a mystery when three esteemed public figures descend into madness and turn violent—each clutching a strange blue stone monkey. With no clear motive and only a shared artifact to follow, the team journeys to the remote land of Tajali to uncover the truth behind the stones. Written by Arnold Drake and illustrated by Bruno Premiani, with a cover by Bob Brown, this 1965 classic blends psychological intrigue with the surreal, setting the stage for a journey into the unknown.
When three respected men descend into madness and turn violent, the Doom Patrol is called in to unravel the mystery—only to discover they’re all linked by a strange blue stone monkey. With the trail leading to the remote village of Tajali, the team must confront a danger that’s as baffling as it is dangerous.
In Tajali, the Doom Patrol teams up with the enigmatic Cobra Syndicate to unravel the mystery behind the spreading blue monkey curse, while back in the U.S., respected figures like Mr. Stanhope and Mr. Pyke suddenly succumb to madness, turning on those around them. With the line between sanity and chaos crumbling, the team must piece together the truth before the madness consumes everyone—especially as the sinister influence reaches deeper into the lives of those they’ve sworn to protect.
In "The Day the World Went Mad! Part 3: Whom the Gods Would Destroy," the Doom Patrol faces General Immortus, whose mind ray cannon is driving people to madness, only to discover he's allied with the Brotherhood of Evil and the alien Garguax. As The Chief, Elasti-Girl, Negative Man, and Robotman push forward, the line between enemy and puppeteer blurs in a battle where reality itself feels unstable.
