Doom Patrol #15

The cover art by Tan Eng Huat delivers a genuinely unsettling visual gag: three Doom Patrol members — a dark-haired woman, a blonde, and a red-haired figure — are tumbling around inside the open head of Robotman's golden, red-eyed robot skull, the story arc's title "Head Case!" looming large beside them. It's a clever, slightly surreal image that captures the offbeat sensibility this team has always carried well, and Arcudi and Tan Eng Huat seem very much in their element with it. A fine entry in DC's 2003 run for fans who appreciate their superhero comics with a streak of the strange.
