In "Through an Orb Darkly," Doctor Strange is plunged into the mysterious Necromantic Orb of Agamotto after Silver Dagger strikes him down and steals the Eye of Agamotto and Clea. Written by Steve Englehart and Frank Brunner, with art by Frank Brunner and inks by Dick Giordano, this 1974 Marvel classic finds Strange confronting a surreal, dreamlike realm where he encounters a cryptic hookah-smoking caterpillar.
