Doc Savage #18
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this 1990 DC series finale says it all — Doc Savage and The Shadow stand back-to-back (well, face-to-face in tense readiness), guns drawn, framed within a pulp-style "Double Danger Stories" comic-within-a-comic design that perfectly captures the golden age spirit of both characters. Eduardo Barreto's cover art renders the bare-chested Man of Bronze and the cloaked, hat-brimmed Shadow with real dramatic weight, a looming gun barrel casting a shadow over them both. Part four of four, "The Climax of The Conflagration Man" promises a satisfying conclusion to this pulp-hero team-up, written by Mike W. Barr and Gerard Jones with interior art by Rod Whigham and Ed Barreto.
