In "Die Roboter-Invasion," a sudden assault by Heavy Metal on Hydrobase plunges the Avengers into chaos as the Super-Adaptoid reveals its long-hidden agenda. With Machine Man stepping in to counter the threat, the team must confront the Adaptoid’s escalating power—especially when it commandeers the Avengers' systems to locate the Cosmic Cube. The Cube’s arrival takes the form of a sentient being named Kubik, only to be mirrored by the Adaptoid’s ability to replicate its powers, setting the stage for a high-stakes clash of wills and technology.

In "Der letzte Showdown," the Super-Adaptoid, empowered by the Cosmic Cube and reborn as the Supreme Adaptoid, unleashes a bid to dominate the universe. With the help of Kubik, the Captain is drawn into the conflict, where a battle of wits and wills tests the limits of adaptation and mortality.
