Batman apprehends Webley after the murder of Dalton Walls, and learns that he was sent by Mr. Kadaver. Kadaver, who had been contracted by Hobart to kill Walls, learns that Walls was actually an eccentric millionaire living as a hobo, and that his nephew Hobart would inherit millions from Walls' death. Kadaver tortures Hobart until he agrees to pay Kadaver millions. As Batman arrives to apprehend Kadaver, the Corrosive Man also arrives seeking revenge on Kadaver.
