Detective Comics #466
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this December 1976 issue says it all — the Signalman is back after 15 years and "15 times as deadly," and Ernie Chan and Vince Colletta make the threat feel very real, with the red-and-gold-caped villain looming over a tumbling, off-balance Batman beneath a blazing spotlight. It's a striking composition that puts the Dark Knight at a rare disadvantage, cape splayed and clearly on the ropes against this flashy, underestimated foe. Len Wein writes the action inside, with art by Ernie Chua and inks by Vince Colletta — a solid creative team for a villain's long-overdue comeback.
