“If the Coffin Fits -- Wear It!”

In "If the Coffin Fits -- Wear It!", Batman faces a chilling trap woven from his own identity, as a masked gang systematically sabotages his costume in a bid to force him into a deadly new one. Written by Frank Robbins and brought to life with sharp art by Bob Brown and inks by Joe Giella, this 1969 tale unfolds with a sinister twist tied to the man who knows Batman’s form better than anyone—his tailor, Sam Tweed. The cover, a striking portrait by Irv Novick, captures the tension of a hero caught between disguise and danger.
