Deadpool #39

Tied to Marvel's 2015 AXIS event, this issue finds Deadpool in a sharply composed showdown rendered on the cover by Mark Brooks — two red-and-black-suited Deadpools trade gunfire and sai strikes against a bold yin-yang backdrop splattered with blood, while a third, silver-toned figure tumbles below clutching a bo staff. It's a visually striking image that teases a chaotic, mirror-image clash with plenty of the Merc's trademark weaponry on full display. Gerry Duggan, Brian Posehn, and a strong art team including Mike Hawthorne, Mirko Colak, and colorist Ruth Redmond bring their considerable talents to bear on what promises to be one of the wilder chapters in this run.
