Deadpool #35

Deadpool finds himself in a spectacularly bad spot on Mark Brooks's cover for issue #35 — dwarfed by a massive, gleaming robot whose chest viewport reveals a sinister, glowing face, while Wade nonchalantly holds up a handwritten "YIKES!" sign like the world's most self-aware hostage. The contrast between Deadpool's casual posture and the enormous chrome fists closing in around him perfectly captures the tone Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn bring to the title. With Mike Hawthorne on interiors and Jordie Bellaire's colors, this 2014 chapter promises exactly the kind of chaotic, good-humored mayhem the series does so well.
