Deadpool #36
Tied into Marvel's AXIS event, this 2014 issue finds Deadpool in a delightfully absurd standoff — the Merc with a Mouth looms triumphantly over a downed armored figure resembling Iron Man, dangling what appears to be a laptop charger cable with the casual confidence of someone who's absolutely won the argument. David Nakayama's cover art is sharp and playful, capturing Wade Wilson's signature swagger with katanas crossed on his back and a fist raised mid-gloat. With Gerry Duggan writing and Mike Hawthorne on interior art, this one promises the kind of irreverent chaos that makes Deadpool so hard to put down.
