“My Hero Part Three”

In "My Hero Part Three," Daken stands at the center of a collapsing tower, flanked by HAMMER and a live news feed capturing every tense second. With the building about to be destroyed, Daken makes a shocking choice—one that saves an infant and redefines his public image, even as he secretly orchestrates the escape of his enemies. Written by Daniel Way and Marjorie Liu, with dynamic art by Stephen Segovia and Paco Diaz Luque and bold inks by Sandu Florea, Guillermo Ortego, and Jay Leisten, this issue blends high-stakes action with moral complexity. The cover by Greg Land captures the moment of revelation, as Daken emerges from the flames with the child in his arms.

Under the watchful eye of a news camera and with HAMMER as back up, Daken confronts Moses Magnum, Emmy Doolin, Cutthroat and the Inquisitor. When it looks like his Wolverine might blow another operation, Norman blows the building killing everyone inside. As television viewers watch the live feed with horror, Daken emerges from the burning building with an infant he has saved from the explosion, putting him back in the good graces of the public. What Osborn does not know is that Daken allowed the villains to escape before the blast and tracks them down later to have a few words with Doolin.
