Daredevil squares off against a blonde, cape-wearing villain in mid-air combat against a stone castle wall, while a menacing robot looms in the background and a crowd scatters below — it's a wonderfully kinetic scene brought to life by John Romita and Frank Giacoia's cover work. Titled "The Verdict Is: Death!", this September 1966 Marvel issue promises high stakes for the Man Without Fear. Stan Lee and Gene Colan are at the helm inside, making this a strong example of the title firing on all cylinders during its mid-1960s run.
