In "Riders of the River-Dragons! (Amra part 1)," Conan, Belit, and their corsair crew fight to defend the island city of Kelka from the ruthless pirate Auro and his Argossean raiders. After a brutal clash, they’re captured by Kelka’s enigmatic ruler, Akkheba, who offers them wine that soon clouds their minds. Written by Roy Thomas and brought to life with dynamic art by John Buscema and Ernie Chan, this story from the original Marvel years features a striking cover by Gil Kane and John Romita, with inks by Pablo Marcos and John Romita.
