As rebellion erupts in the city and Tananda meets her end at the hands of the uprising, Conan and Diana flee together, riding through the storm-lashed night on horseback.
In "De maaneters van Darfar!", Conan and Diana of Nemedia flee the cursed lands of Darfar, seeking refuge with the enigmatic Thutmekri. When the pair split, Conan and the young Erfu volunteer as captives to infiltrate Darfari’s heart, their escape a desperate bid for freedom. As loyalties shift and shadows close in, Diana’s path diverges from Conan’s—yet the two are drawn together once more in a final, tense alliance.
In "Zonen van de Beer-God," Conan and Erfu flee into the grasslands, only to stumble upon a hidden valley where Aesirs are enslaved by dwarves. When Conan confronts the dwarves, their desperate cries summon a monstrous bear-god, but the warrior stands ready to face the beast and the dark gods behind it.
