Conan de Barbaar Special

This Dutch-language special, running 27 issues from 1985 to 1991 from Juniorpress, repackaged classic Conan the Barbarian adventures for a new audience. While the title character is a given, the series also featured a recurring cast of Marvel superheroes like Spider-Man and Wolverine, bridging sword-and-sorcery with modern comics. The most frequent writer was Rob van Eyck, while the art duties were most often handled by legendary talents Hal Foster, Dave Ross, and John Buscema, making it a unique showcase of both European and American comic traditions.
