In "Elefantens torn," a young Conan infiltrates the legendary, dreamlike Elefantens Torn in search of the fabled gem known as Elefantens hjärta. There, he encounters a noble being imprisoned by the sinister sorcerer Yara, setting the stage for a perilous encounter in a realm where magic and mystery coil like smoke through ancient stone.

In the shadowed streets of Shadizar, Conan encounters the elusive Jenna, a servant whose beauty hides a perilous fate. When she’s seized by fanatical priests to be sacrificed to the unseen Night God, Conan must face a monstrous, winged entity—only to find that the real danger lies not in the beast, but in the priestess Hajii. As their fates intertwine in a storm of deception and survival, Jenna vanishes with all of Conan’s gold, leaving only questions in her wake.

In "Ormgudens söner," Conan rescues noblewoman Aztrias of Numalia from a pack of wolves, only to be drawn into a deadly mystery when she hires him to steal a legendary Stygian chalice said to hold an incalculable treasure. Inside the merchant Kallian’s home, Conan finds the chalice empty and Kallian dead—only to be framed by Aztrias as the killer when city guards arrive. The true horror lies within the chalice: a monstrous reptilian creature with a human head, and as Conan battles it, he glimpses the sinister figure of Thoth-Amon in a vision.

In "Den fördömda staden," Conan stöter på de förstörda ruinerna av den förlorade staden Lanjau, där han slår ned en jätteödla och möter en namnlös legosoldat.
