May 1992 · Marvel · 2.25 USD; 2.70 CAD
“[Rawhead Rex: Return of the King Part Three of Four:] The King of Depravity”

In the third chapter of "The King of Depravity," the Night Breed close in on Kinder and his followers, only to face the terrifying return of Rawhead Rex—revived by the blood of baby Max. As the hunt intensifies, a fanatical Reverend Ashberry joins the fray, worshipping the monstrous entity as a divine force, while Gallows grapples with the grim aftermath of Leah’s death—her body bearing the terrible, unexpected sign of Rawhead’s legacy. Written by D. G. Chichester and illustrated by Dan Lawlis, with inks by John Rheaume, James Hoston, T. Fine, and Jennifer Lui, and colors by the same team, this 1992 Marvel issue features a cover by John Rheaume that captures the horror’s grim grandeur.

The Night Breed track down Kinder and his disciples, and come up against Rawhead Rex, brought back to life by baby Max. After getting away from the Breed, Kinder, Rex and the others are joined by the mad Reverend Ashberry, who reveres Rawhead as a god. Elsewhere, Gallows' attempt at saving Leah's life proves fruitless, but they discover that her corpse is pregnant, after being impregnated with Rawhead's sperm when she was shot with the bullets that ripped through his testicles first.
