Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways #1
In the heart of Los Angeles, the Runaways stumble into a tense standoff at a farmer’s market, caught between SHIELD and the Flag Smasher over the Superhuman Registration Act. Meanwhile, the Young Avengers, monitoring the situation from Captain America’s headquarters, make the split-second decision to intervene—despite Captain America’s objections—only to find their path blocked by a team they assume is there to enforce the law. Written by Zeb Wells and illustrated by Stefano Caselli, with colors by Daniele Rudoni and letters by VC's Cory Petit, this pivotal issue captures the clash of ideals with sharp precision. The cover by Jim Cheung and John Dell perfectly frames the moment of tension before the storm breaks.
