“To Call a Deadman”

In "To Call a Deadman," the mysterious Deadman takes the lead in a haunting tale of stolen relics and spectral vengeance. When a hunchbacked thief is drawn into a deadly scheme involving the Ruby of Khafir, a private investigator and the Challengers of the Unknown must unravel a mystery tied to a vengeful ghost—only for Deadman to step in and expose the truth behind the haunting. Written by Denny O'Neil and illustrated by George Tuska and Neal Adams, with cover art by Neal Adams, this 1970 DC classic blends supernatural intrigue with a twist that redefines the line between ghost and man.
