A masked, hooded figure in blue and white dominates this June 1982 Aardvark-Vanaheim cover, caught mid-leap with a small vessel clutched in one outstretched hand while two larger, muscular opponents close in from either side against a deep crimson background. Dave Sim's cover work gives the whole scene a kinetic, almost acrobatic energy — the hooded figure looks outnumbered but utterly unintimidated. "Petuniacon Day Three: The Ambassador Suite" promises that the convention-arc continues to deliver something far stranger and more charged than its playful title might suggest.
