Cerebus #274

This January 2002 issue of Cerebus presents a striking cover by Dave Sim and Ken Sim that blends photographic landscapes with hand-drawn art — three horizontal panels of stark, rocky mountain terrain serve as a backdrop, while an agitated, wide-eyed Cerebus tumbles dramatically across the bottom of the composition. The red text cascading across the panels reads "If rocks be my scenery," giving the cover a sardonic, theatrical flair that feels very much in the spirit of "Latter Days." With interior work from the longtime creative team of Dave Sim and Gerhard, issue #274 is a confident entry in this long-running black-and-white series from Aardvark-Vanaheim.
