Cerebus #208
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this July 1996 installment of "Guys" is a quietly striking piece of work from Dave Sim and Gerhard — a lone, stocky silhouette walks a snow-dusted country road flanked by a weathered split-rail fence and rows of dried cornfield stalks, all rendered in crisp black-and-white ink work save for a warm amber-orange sunset burning through the oversized title lettering. It's a melancholy, wide-open image that perfectly suits the introspective tone of the "Guys" arc. Part 8 of this beloved chapter in Cerebus's 300-issue journey, it's a fine example of the series' willingness to slow down and let atmosphere do the talking.
