Cerebus #207
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe "Guys" arc rolls on with issue #207, and Dave Sim and Gerhard deliver a cover that perfectly captures the chapter's dry, sardonic spirit: two mop-topped figures in dark suits flank a prominently placed bottle of "Non-Dairy Breakfast Whiskey — Salt Free!", while a bowl of what appear to be rice cakes sits nearby and speech bubbles float overhead in Sim's distinctive lettering. It's a deadpan tableau that balances the absurd and the mundane with real craft, the kind of image that makes you want to flip the cover open immediately. A fine 1996 entry in one of comics' most ambitious long-form experiments.
