Cerebus #156
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIssue #156 of Dave Sim and Gerhard's long-running independent epic arrives with a genuinely unsettling cover: the aardvark Cerebus is shown crammed — along with what appear to be multiple distorted, grimacing versions of his own face — inside a narrow stone-walled cage, rendered in stark crimson against a pitch-black background. The image captures something deeply claustrophobic and psychologically charged, a fitting visual for the fifth installment of the "Mind Game" storyline within the Mothers & Daughters arc. Sim and Gerhard's collaborative linework brings a raw, almost woodcut-like intensity to the piece that makes this 1992 issue hard to set down.
