Snow falls against the dark stone facade of a multi-story building on this quietly unsettling January 1992 cover by Dave Sim and Gerhard — a figure peers out from an upper window while Cerebus himself is just barely visible at the lower right, watching from behind the glass. The atmospheric, almost noir stillness of the scene is a fine showcase for Gerhard's legendary architectural detail work alongside Sim's character art. Part four of "Flight" within the Mothers & Daughters saga, this issue continues one of the most ambitious long-form narratives in independent comics.
