Cerebus #14

This Cerebus Bi-Weekly from June 1989 reprints Cerebus #14 (1980) in its entirety, bringing "The Walls of Palnu" back into readers' hands with all of Dave Sim's original writing, art, inking, and lettering intact. The featured cover — spotlighted against a striking collage of past Cerebus issues — depicts the small aardvark warrior Cerebus being gripped or grappled by a larger figure in the rain, rendered in Sim's bold linework with a vivid yellow-and-black color scheme that gives the scene real dramatic weight. A wonderful opportunity to experience a key chapter of this ambitious independent series exactly as Aardvark-Vanaheim presented it nearly a decade earlier.
