Cartoon Network Presents #17
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis January 1999 DC anthology spotlights Cartoon Network's Toonami block with a cover by Steve Rude that bursts with Saturday-morning energy — a long-haired warrior woman grips a mysterious horseshoe-shaped object in the foreground while a roaring gorilla looms large overhead, flanked by a winged serpent, a green creature, and two other heroes scrambling across an alien desert landscape. Lurking at the bottom edge, a wide-eyed ghost-like figure adds a note of quirky tension to the whole chaotic scene. Inside, writer Michael Kraiger and artist John Delaney (inked by Terry Austin) bring "Winter Takes All" to life, making this a fun snapshot of Toonami's comic-book presence in 1999.
