Who is Tundro?

Tundro is a triceratops-like creature from the animated series The Herculoids, adapted into DC comics. He serves as one of the loyal defenders of the planet Amzot alongside Zandor's family and fellow creatures Zok, Gloop, Gleep, and Dorno.

Tundro made his comics debut in the Bronze Age pages of TV Stars #3 (1978), brought to life by the creative team of Mark Evanier and Paul Norris, and has since proven to be one of those wonderfully durable figures whose presence stretches all the way into the modern era β€” a four-decade span that speaks to a genuinely devoted fanbase. A fixture of DC's animated-universe adaptations, Tundro shares adventures with a colorful ensemble including Gloop, Gleep, Dorno, Zok, and Tara, the kind of company that signals a rich, imaginative world well worth exploring. His most prominent comics home has been Future Quest and Future Quest Presents, DC's loving celebration of classic animated heroes, where a new generation of readers got to discover what longtime fans already knew. Twelve catalog appearances may sound modest, but for a character rooted in the golden days of Saturday-morning storytelling, each one is a treat.
