Captain Britain and MI13 #6
This fiery sixth issue of Paul Cornell's celebrated series opens the "Hell Comes to Birmingham" arc with a cover by Bryan Hitch that radiates heat and urgency — a suited figure cradles a wounded woman with long hair while Captain Britain looms behind in his red costume, with a shadowy fourth figure visible in the blazing yellow background. The composition carries a real weight of desperation, suggesting the MI13 team is in serious trouble before a single page is turned. With Leonard Kirk on interior art and a creative team firing on all cylinders, this is a compelling chapter in one of Marvel's most underappreciated team books of 2008.
